Adobe Hill Winery
In 2016, we were searching for more connection to the land and family, which led us to Fallbrook. We fell in love with a five-acre property featuring an adobe house built with bricks from the nearby San Luis Rey River, some imprinted with dog prints and handprints. The land, once neglected, needed care, so we planted 3,600 vines with the help of family and friends, turning our dream into Adobe Hill Farms.
When our plan to sell grapes didn’t work, our son Jason embraced the idea of winemaking. With the guidance of Renato Sais, Jason crafted our first harvest in 2019. From there, we expanded to an 85-acre property, planting 8,500 vines and producing award-winning wines, including our 2021 Canonita Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Our commitment goes beyond wine, as we work towards organic and regenerative certifications, aiming to be stewards of the land. As we prepare to open our tasting room, we invite you to join us in slowing down, connecting with nature, and enjoying the fruits of our labor at Adobe Hill.
With gratitude,
Vickie + Gordon
